What Public Safety Can Do

How Public Safety Professionals Can Be Involved in the Safe Routes to School movement.

  • Fire Department crews and paramedics can visit local schools and include pedestrian and bike safety information in their tours of the fire station. Safety information is available in our download center.
  • Participate in Walk to School Day Initiatives to raise the visibility of these celebrations in the community.
  • Engage community members in the enforcement process. Support campaigns to slow down traffic and improve drop-off and pick-up safety.
  • Take the next step. Learn more about how to participate in the SRts movement.
