Walking School Bus story gets coverage from KATU

Vancouver, WA school district transforms the commute to school with walking school buses.

 

Students, teachers stroll to school in their 'walking school bus'


The city of Vancouver says some student live too close to school to be bussed. But these days, sending a child on a long walk to school alone is a scary proposition. What to do? Students and teachers have formed a "walking bus" and found unexpected benefits. Carl Click reports.
